The Recon Prepper

The Recon Prepper is a very private individual who has served his country thru various govt agencies and worked and volunteered to help and protect others lives and freedoms.

He comes from a family who has served various govt agencies both his mother and father for over 20 years as well as his grandfather who served over 30 years in the Navy.

Latter in life, due to various medical reasons, The Recon Prepper wasn’t able to hold a traditional job and realized his life had always been about survival and prepping. Knowing this he created a podcast sharing his knowledge with others about his way to prep and survive in life. With shows like National Geographic’s Doomsday Preppers and other well know youtube preppers becoming more main stream he decided that he too should have a voice and share his knowledge.

I have been prepping way before Y2K and wasn't worried when it came about. I also listen and subscribe to a lot of podcast myself to learn from others. Some of the problems I heard from other podcast I hope to not duplicate here. I have heard podcast that do these things................................

*Spend first 10 mins of time promoting themselves, commercials, music, sponsors, membership groups, and general chit chat not related to that days episode.

*Episode title sounds good but they don't really cover the info in the actual podcast

*Arrogant or talks down to listeners or subscribers. Have personally heard and seen in a podcasters forum a listener asking a question and the podcaster talked down to him as if he was not worthy of an answer due to the podcaster being so smart and the question being to simple to answer worth his time.

*Well known podcaster starts from nothing to become big time and his head swells a little too much. I get it that all podcasters probably have a bit of narcissistic tendencies to talk on a mic and listen to themselves. But come on just because people listen to you doesn't mean they can't stop listening to you too. Be humble and appreciate every listener you have. The listeners make the podcaster.

*Cussing or ranting and raving screaming about to bust a vein. I get sometimes things get to you but stay calm and keep a level head. You can still explain your situation as an adult without busting a vein or becoming so simple minded as to curse. Thats why I want to be a Christian Conservative Family Friendly show.

*A podcaster saying they doesn't care if you listen to their podcast or not. They said that if you didn't like it you could not listen. Well thats true and  it must be nice they have so many listeners that its not an issue if anyone listens or not. Personally I want everyone to listen and I know you won't agree with me on every front but I still hope we are both adult enough to agree to disagree and continue on.

Those are just a few of the crazy things I have heard and seen on other podcast and podcasters forums.

I try to quote resources when available. I am not an armchair prepper like many out there I talk the talk and walk the walk. This is my lifestyle and the way I live, this is not a hobby or fad for me. I don't podcast 5 days a week or 7 days a week because I don't have time to do so. Im to busy living the life. I take this very seriously as I must do these things to survive. I also have fun doing these things.

The Recon Prepper is a Christian / Conservative who clings to his Bible and Guns :) The Recon Prepper wanted to share a Christian / Conservative / Family Friendly Podcast. I share my knowledge and hope you learn and enjoy what I have to say.
